Learn about browser push notifications and how to turn them on.

Getting browser push notifications to work as expected can be challenging, here are some tips to help if they’re not appearing.

How to enable browser push notifications?

  1. First, check that they are enabled in Frond and that your browser has requested and been granted permissions.
    1. To do this, navigate to notifications settings and ensure that browser notifications are enabled and active.
    2. If you receive a message saying that you need to allow Frond notification permission in your browser settings, follow these steps to allow frond.com to show notifications.
  2. On MacOS, if they’re still not working, check that your browser has permission to show notifications. To do this:
    1. On your Mac, choose Apple menu  > System Settings, then click Notifications  in the sidebar.
    2. Find and select your web browser in the list, and make sure that notifications are allowed with the banner or alert style.
  3. On MacOS, your notifications may be sent directly to Notification Center, depending on your Focus settings.
    1. On your Mac, choose Apple menu  > System Settings, then click Focus in the sidebar.
    2. Check which Focus is enabled. If you would like to receive notifications immediately, make sure that your browser is added to the Allow list.

Using Brave browser and still having trouble enabling push notifications?

By default, Brave blocks most push services. To ensure you can receive notifications in Brave:

  1. Open your browser settings by typing brave://settings/privacy in the URL bar
  2. Enable “Use Google services for push messaging
  3. Reload the page where you allowed push notifications
